Building a Legacy of Faith

These are exciting days for Shepherd’s Gate as we are asking for God’s wisdom, guidance and strength to boldly do His will to fulfill our mission to fill the world with dynamic disciples. Church consultants Dr. Kent Hunter and Tracee Swank gave their oral and written report filled with recommendations for how we can best make dynamic disciples. The Ministry Staff and Church Council have prayerfully reviewed and selected the major recommendations and will give a report of the recommendations and action plans for implementation during the Night of Prayer. The congregation will have an opportunity to ask questions and give feedback. Participation is a key part to the process for identifying the best strategies to make more and stronger followers of Jesus.

But of first importance, before hearing the report, let’s all humble ourselves and pray for the Lord to give us direction and unity as His Church. Prayer is a privilege where God promises to hear us and answer us according to His will. As we pray for God to make His will clear to us, we will also ask Him to pour out His Holy Spirit to equip, supply and empower us to implement His will for the advancement of the Gospel to our community, region and world. This is a defining moment for what God will do in our church and through us.

Come and be a part of building a legacy of great faith as we declare that we desire above all else to do the will of our great God.
