25 Years of Service: Pastor Craig Meyer

It’s hard to believe, but Pastor Craig Meyer is celebrating his 25th year of faithful service at Shepherd’s Gate. Pastor Craig began his career in the ministry here at Shepherd’s Gate in 1990 as a part-time Lay Minister, while also working full-time as a Circulation Manager at the Detroit Free Press, and taking college classes. He joined the full-time staff as a Deacon on February 1, 1995. He attended Ft. Wayne Theological Seminary in 2003 to complete his course work, and was ordained here at Shepherd’s Gate on September 14, 2003. Pastor Craig has many ministry highlights, but overall, he loves watching people grow in their faith and responding to the Gospel. It is joy for him to serve Jesus and His people in the various seasons of their lives. Please join us in the Fellowship Hall on Sunday, March 8, after all three worship services to congratulate him. Words and cards of appreciation are welcome.

Congratulation Paster Craig!!! Wow 25 years!! You were the first Pastor that I met when I came to Shepherds Gate in December of 2003 for a live Nativity Scene function. You were also the pastor who lead my member classes AND you were there for me when my life fell apart in 2008.
You’ll always be a special spiritual leader to me.
Thank you for all you do and are!! God sure knew what he was doing when he sent you to Shepherds Gate!!
I pray you have lots more happy years sharing the love and grace of God with others.
I miss all of you since I’ve moved so far away, but hold you all dear in my heart.
    Marlene

Congratulations on 25 years of ministry at Shepherd’s Gate, Pastor Craig! Compared to many at SG, I am a newbie, having joined in 2008. Since then, I have been guided and inspired by your faith and belief in all people. Celebrate this milestone and know that we all look forward to another 25 years of your spiritual leadership. Best wishes, Michele
