God Always Loves Us

Through His creation, we can see that God always loves us!

Creation

In Genesis 1, we hear about how God created the world and everything in it. He made it exactly as He knew we would need it to survive, and to enjoy the world around us!  Through His creation, we can see that God always loves us!

God Created Us

In Genesis 1, we hear about how God created the world and everything in it. He made it exactly as He knew we would need it to survive, and to enjoy the world around us!  Through His creation, we can see that God always loves us!

Jesus’ Power Lives In Us

In Acts 2:1-12, we hear the story of when Jesus’ followers got together after he had gone back to heaven. The Holy Spirit appears as flames on their heads, and gave them the power to speak other languages! Jesus’ power lives in us too, and helps us share his love with the whole world – no matter what language they speak, what they look like, or how they act.

Jesus’ Power Gives Us Hope
John 11 tells us the story of Mary, Martha and Lazarus, some of Jesus’ best friends. One day Lazarus got very sick. Mary and Martha knew that Jesus’ power brings hope. They knew that Jesus would be able to heal Lazarus, but Lazarus died. They were very sad and wondered why Jesus didn’t come fast enough. They found out that Jesus had come not to heal Lazarus, but to do something more amazing and raise him from the dead. Jesus’ timing is always perfect.

JESUS’ POWER IS UNEXPECTED
Luke 19:28-40 tells us the story of when Jesus entered Jerusalem during his last week on earth. All of the people expected him to come be a powerful earthly king, but he rode in on a donkey, and did not take control from the rulers. Instead, he died on a cross and rose again so we could be in a heavenly kingdom with him! Even when he doesn’t do what we expect, Jesus knows what is best for us.

JESUS’ POWER HELPS US WHEN WE ARE LONELY
Matthew 8:1-3 tells us the story of Jesus healing a man with leprosy, a terrible disease that made him have to stay away from people.  When we are lonely because we can’t be with our friends, classmates, teammates, and extended families right now, we can trust that Jesus is always with us.

JESUS’ POWER CAUSES US TO TAKE ACTION
John 5:1-9 tells us the story of a man who laid by a pool waiting to be healed for many years.  When Jesus saw him, he told the man to get up and be healed – and he did!  No matter what is going on around us, God is always calling us to take action and serve those around us.

JESUS’ POWER CALMS OUR FEARS
Mark 4:35-41 tells us the story of Jesus calming a storm with just his voice! Even when there is uncertainty or chaos all around us, with Jesus, we don’t have to be afraid. His power calms all of our fears.

HIDE AND SEEK WITH JONAH
Jonah 1-4 tells us the wild story of a man named Jonah trying to run and hide from God when he didn’t want to do what God told him.  Mrs. Jenna tries to play hide and seek with her cats – see how well it worked it for her!

WHY DO I BELIEVE IN GOD?
1 Peter 3:15 tells us that we always need to be ready to explain why we trust in God.  Some funny and heartfelt stories from kids around the world about what they think about God help us consider our own answer to the question: “Why do I believe in God?”

EASTER
In all of the gospels, we learn
the Easter story.  It is the most important story ever told, full of sacrifice and hope. Jesus made a big sacrifice in the greatest display of love. A special set of Easter eggs tells us all of the parts of the story, and reminds us that the empty tomb gives us the hope of eternal life!
