Opportunities to Serve
During the summer, high school students and their families go and serve people in various places across the country. In 2009, 2011 and 2013, we took trips to Racine, Wisconsin. In 2015, we served in Cedar Grove, West Virginia. Our trips are focused on spreading the love of Jesus through work projects centered around repairing the homes of others. Our next trip will be to Nashville, TN (June 25-July 1, 2017). All junior and senior high students are invited to join us; this is going to be an amazing opportunity to serve God, build lasting relationships and be a part of a team that will work together to expand the kingdom of God. Have you ever felt called by God to go on a mission trip to a foreign country? At Shepherd’s Gate, we have led teams in 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2016 to Belize. We will be heading back to Belize February 16-24, 2018. You will have an opportunity to do a variety of different ministries; children’s, youth, adult, construction, visit an orphanage, and many more. Belize is located south of Mexico and east of Guatemala in Central America. It is the only English speaking country in Central America. The trip is open to students (7th Grade and older), adults, and families in our church and community. For more information about this trip, contact email@example.com

The Mission of Hope team is gearing up for another exciting mission trip to Honduras. The MOH team believes that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty. Working with remote communities in impoverished regions, 44 schools including nine high schools and one agriculture technical school have been built. The majority of children do not attend school because they have no school supplies. Each year, the Mission of Hope provides the necessary school materials, library books and resources for hundreds of children. Desks, benches and all teaching supplies have been provided to each of the schools.
The Mission of Hope team believes in helping the truly needy so they can then help themselves. 100% of donated funds are spent to directly aid the poor. You can learn more about the Mission of Hope by going to www.missionofhope-honduras.org.
