Titles are important, just ask anyone who has earned a doctorate, been promoted to CEO, or rose to the rank of general. With the title “Everlasting Father” the prophet Isaiah claims that Jesus would be more than just a man or a great moral teacher, He would be God Himself visiting earth. Literally–God with us. For some that is comforting, for others it’s a little scary, and many don’t care either way. But if it’s true, the implications are staggering for each one of us.
