We recently blogged about the questions we ask God. One of the biggest is:

Did God really write the Bible—and can I trust it?

Lifelong Christians, new believers, even outsiders struggle to understand how such old manuscripts could’ve all been God-originated and true. Not only would such a claim be difficult to wrap our minds around, but the question of “How?” and then “Can it be trusted?” are complex and require some explanation.

The bible was compiled over thousands of years and more than 40 authors in a variety of formats, all of which were God-breathed and form the foundation for many theological systems of belief. Beyond the evidence for its compilation and the source material for each book of the bible, both religious and non-religious scholars agree that it has more supporting manuscripts than any other historical document.

As a Bible-believing church in Macomb, Michigan, we affirm:

  • The Bible is inspired by God. Every word was written by people, led by the Holy Spirit.
  • It’s infallible and inerrant. From Genesis to Revelation, Scripture is without error and completely trustworthy.
  • It’s alive and active. Unlike any other book, the Bible speaks directly to your heart and draws you closer to God.

We know that all of this comes with questions, no matter where someone may be in their faith walk. That’s why we teach straight from Scripture every Sunday—because only God’s Word gives the wisdom, correction, and hope we desperately need.

Why This Matters for Life Today

Whether you’re a busy parent holding everything together, a young family navigating new challenges, or someone lying awake at night wondering what’s next in the world—know this:

  • You don’t need to have all the answers.
  • You don’t need to hide your doubts from God.
  • You just need to open His Word and let Him speak.

The Bible isn’t just an old book—it’s God’s voice for today. It’s where you’ll find direction for parenting, strength for marriage, peace for anxiety, and hope when life feels upside down.

Come and See

Whether you join us in person on Sunday or watch online, you’ll hear God’s truth in a way that connects with real life.
